My name is Sarah McRoberts I've was raised here in Rochester,mn. I went to John Marshall High school and graduated 1997. After high school I attended Rochester School of Cosmetology and graduated in 1999. My first job as a stylist was at Great Clips, where I did women, men and children's hair until about 2003. In 2004 I became a single mom, I had a baby girl and now she's 19 years old and very independent! In 2005 I went to work at one of Regis affiliated salon's Smartstyle in Redwing. I specialized in colors, haircuts, perms and waxing brows and face! A year later I was asked to apply manager's license to run the salon. After couple years of driving back and forth from Rochester to Redwing I was taking a toll. It was sad to say goodbye to my Redwing clients I had to stay closer to home and found myself renting a chair at Lexington Salon in 2007-2009 where Kathleen Yenni owned the salon at the time! She was a great lady to work with and got along great together! Shortly before I left they decided to close the salon! So, in 2009-2012 I worked in the JC-P salon. 2012-2014 went to Ravissant Salon and Spa where I was a manager. In the winter of 2014 the owner decided to close the salon. 2014- started at Enhance Salon after Ravissant closed. I was really greatful for them taking me on such short notice. Since I have been here I've learned a lot from Lisa and Lori the two owners which I will never forget after we closed these doors on August 25th ,2023! Since I have been here I have been certified in Brazilian Blowouts, color specialist, perms , specialty perms, Foils, balayage, razor cuts, clipper cuts, short bob to wedges to pixie haircuts, Updos, French braids and dutch braids. I welcome women, men and children! I am very excited to start my own business! I hope you all come join me in this fun new adventure with me!

I have been tattooing in Rochester since 2022. My art process is informed by my youth of self-teaching, inspiration from artists on Instagram and connecting with tattoos as self-expression. I enjoy continuing my education researching for references and tying my interests into tattooing. I graduated from the U in 2020 with a B.F.A. in Art History, and classical training in studio arts.
My desire to create Morning Star Studio was also my desire to feel safe and secure as an artist. I create my art for others to feel something. I want my clients to connect with their tattoos, not just as beautiful art but art that is connected to a safe and happy experience. There is a community of individuals in SE Minnesota especially who are longing for an intentful, beautiful, welcoming tattoo studio.

My name is Shauna Love, and yes.. Love is actually my real last name! Becoming an esthetician was something I had wanted to do since late middle school, and I was so proud of myself that I finally made that a reality in 2020-2021. Growing up I was always the friend that people would ask to do their makeup for any special occasion, or even just because. I then started working at Sephora for a few years, and then began to do makeup for weddings, proms and other special occasions. It wasn’t until going to school at Aveda Institute Minneapolis that I realized how much I enjoyed specializing in doing brows and lashes. I was lucky enough to find a salon in my town after my schooling that specialized in just those services! In 2024 I was then able to take that leap and open my own salon, Love Aesthetics LLC. I absolutely love connecting with each and every person that walks through that door, even if its your first time or your 100th time receiving my services. Life is so go go go now a days, that I love being able to provide that safe and relaxing environment to give a client a chance to focus on themselves for a moment; and have them leave their appointment feeling beautiful, and like they were catching up with a friend.
